Family Resource Center - Approved

• The Help Me Grow Family Resource Center (FRC) provides free activities, resources, and support for families in Wichita County. Activities at the FRC include: Story Hour, Stay & Play, Parent Cafes, parenting classes, and more! During Story Hour, the FRC staff read a book (or two) and provide free snacks and crafts for families to enjoy together. During Stay & Play, the developmental play areas are open for families to use. Staff are present to model and coach parents to encourage joint attention and purposeful play with their children. During Parent Cafes, parents learn from and support each other to strengthen their families. Parenting classes at the FRC cover a wide variety of topics such as financial literacy and positive parenting practices. Staff at the FRC are also available to support families and connect them to agencies in the community to help with basic needs, answer child development questions, and provide free developmental screenings.
