Behavioral Traffic Safety- Traffic Safety Division - Approved

• I am a Child Passenger Safety Technician, and there is another CPST here at TxDOT who serves as my backup. We perform car seat inspections upon request by appointment, by texting or calling me at 940-704-4133. (We are both field employees, so we may not be here if someone just shows up, we must visit with them first prior to an inspection.) If a family cannot afford a car seat, we have a couple types of seats (not all) that we can assist families with if their child is not in the correct seat for their size/age, or if their seat is expired, damaged, been in a crash. This is also by appointment. I can also provide additional education for anyone who needs to prove to a court of law or to a case worker in an effort to gain custody/possession of their child back or in lieu of a moving violation citation fee, should the court decide to waive ticket fees for education.
