• Salvation Army helps to provide assistance with rent, utilities and transportation when funding is available. Always check to see what they have funding for, because it changes all the time. They offer basic needs assistance if they have it available. Emergency Shelter. Provides lunch from 12-12:20 everyday. Provides temporary housing for clients (not to exceed 6 months). The Salvation Army offers rental and energy assistance to individuals of need upon qualification. Call and set up and appointment with Salvation Army. TXU Energy Assistance hours: (Only provided to TXU customers) Mon, Tues, Thurs: 9:00 am – 11:00 am (bring TXU energy pink slip) What to bring: Proof of income Driver license/ID or birth certificate or every individual in the household Eviction notice TXU energy pink slip
